Available to you will be working a 9-day fortnight with RDOs every second week Flexible location – Brisbane, Rockhampton, Gladstone or Townsville Powerlink offers robust leadership development through integrated programs, fostering growth across all levels Find a career that matters and lasts Powerlink is committed to fostering sustainable relationships and partnerships with Traditional Owners and other First Nations stakeholders. As part of our dedication to reconciliation and cultural heritage, we are looking for passionate and experienced Senior Indigenous Relations Advisors to join our team.
In this role you will;
Guide and support Indigenous Relations Advisors in delivering a coordinated approach to First Nations engagement Develop and implement strategies, such as Indigenous relationships and partnership agreements, in collaboration with stakeholders  Establish and strengthen mutually beneficial relationships with First Nations stakeholders and organisations Identify opportunities for First Nations partnerships in training, employment, and subcontracting Maintain strong relationships with government bodies to stay informed of policy and legislative changes Provide guidance in the development and implementation of standards, procedures, and strategies that support First Nations interests within Powerlink Develop and maintain constructive working relationships across the organisation, delivering on priorities such as the Reconciliation Action Plan The community you will join CopperString 2032 is the largest ever economic development project in North Queensland, and one of the largest expansions to the power grid in Australia.
The CopperString project will build 840 kilometres of transmission line from just south of Townsville in the Burdekin region to Mount Isa with the highest voltage levels in the state.
Your expertise Degree level qualifications in business or social sciences or substantial relevant experience Extensive experience in cultural heritage and Indigenous stakeholder management Strong relationships with Aboriginal Parties and government departments in Queensland Expertise in consulting and negotiating with Aboriginal Parties and landholders Deep understanding of Australian Aboriginal history and opportunities for Aboriginal people Leadership skills to develop and implement strategies that respect and support First Nations People Be the start of every possibility To kick start your career at Powerlink, apply by clicking the button above, attaching your resume and cover letter on our careers page before midnight on 16th of June 2024.
