About your new role Located in the Chief People Office, the HR Business Partnering team lead the delivery of a professional and contemporary advisory/consultancy service to departments to support the achievement of people management related business objectives. Through a partnership model, the HR Business Partners (HRBP) provide high level support, advice and coaching to leaders and employees to facilitate local level resolution of people matters and enable leaders to grow their capability to effectively fulfil their people leadership responsibilities and develop a positive working culture. Additionally, the HRBP provides expert advice in areas of employee engagement and wellbeing, workforce planning, change management and performance management.
Key deliverables of the role Deliver a professional and contemporary advisory/consultancy service to business areas that support the achievement of people management related business objectives. Provide high level support, advice and coaching to leaders and employees to facilitate the resolution of people issues and to enable leaders to grow their capability to effectively fulfil their people leadership responsibilities and develop a positive organisational culture. Provide expert advice and guidance to all leaders and employees in the areas of employee engagement and wellbeing, workforce planning (including succession planning), change management and performance management. Assist client departments to influence and embed the City's Code of Conduct and High-Performance Principles by proactively monitoring workplace culture and making recommendations for improvement where needed. Drive the cross functional team within the Chief People Office to ensure cross communication and collaboration. About you and what you need to be successful in the role To effectively undertake the role, you will need to be influential, confident, tenacious, resilient, trustworthy and able to work in a fast paced, demanding and diverse environment. Be a strategic thinker and excellent communicator (both verbally and in written form) to identify and advise on best practice practical solutions to a variety of people management matters, while concurrently ensuring adherence to legislation and policy. You will need to be a quick learner to effectively use a variety of systems and become familiar with numerous procedures and policies. You will use your influential engagement skills to build and maintain positive and valued relationships with stakeholders.
