Uniting is seeking a dedicated Senior HR Advisor to join our dynamic team and support the organisation in shaping a better future.
About the Role: As a Senior HR Advisor at Uniting, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive HR advice and coaching to line managers and supervisors.
Your role will ensure that managers receive timely guidance, grounded in strong legislative understanding and aligned with best practice HR approaches.
You will play a key role in case management, process improvement, and supporting the implementation of strategic HR projects across Uniting.
Key Responsibilities: Provide consistent, expert HR advice and coaching to line managers and supervisors in line with legislative guidelines, HR best practice, and Uniting policies and processes.
Support the business in preparing and reviewing documentation for performance management, disciplinary actions, and related processes.
Manage HR cases from start to finish, ensuring timely resolution and compliance.
Facilitate workshops to upskill managers and improve HR knowledge within the organisation.
Contribute to HR Centre of Excellence initiatives by providing business insights, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Develop knowledge banks and collateral for the People Portal to enhance organisational learning.
Support the delivery of strategic projects including organisational design, change management, and restructuring.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the effective design and implementation of new policies, practices, and programs.
About You: You are a seasoned HR professional with at least 3 years of experience, skilled at providing clear, sound advice to business stakeholders.
Your ability to interpret legislation, policies, and processes enables you to navigate complex situations with confidence.
Strong communication skills, combined with a service-oriented mindset, allow you to build relationships and influence outcomes, even in a large, diverse organisation.
Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in providing HR advice and influencing decision-making.
Strong knowledge of generalist HR best practice and the ability to apply relevant legislation and organisational policies.
Highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated experience in navigating complex organisations and managing through influence.
Even Better If You Have: Experience working with First Nations peoples.
Experience in the Not-For-Profit sector.
