Senior Financial Analyst | Finance Projects & EngagementEmployment Type: OngoingClassification / Grade / Band: Clerk Grade 9/10Remuneration: $120,859.44- $133,183.44; plus Superannuation and Leave LoadingLocation: Sydney CBD, Flexible & hybrid working options availableApplications Close: 10:00am Monday 21 October 2024Your Contribution as a valued Senior Financial AnalystThe Finance Projects & Engagement (FP&E) team is part of the FSPR Division and provides expert finance project capability in support of the Division's key financial reporting and financial management responsibilities and leads the Division's sector wide financial management engagement initiatives.Your typical day-to-day work includes:Supporting the delivery of priority finance projects for the divisionProject manage the division's response and resolution of audit findings and recommendationsProvide sector wide engagement in a coordinated and proactive way through key finance and audit and risk leadership forums.This role requires developing strong stakeholder engagement within Treasury and with Government agencies to improve quality of financial analysis and advice.The Senior Financial Analyst is instrumental in building strong relations across Treasury and agencies to ensure business planning, performance and financial reporting and analytics are captured to generate the best possible advice.Proactively building robust relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders is paramount, as is your contribution to improving the delivery of outcomes across the NSW Government through effective communication, collaboration, and advocacy with Treasury teams and agency counterparts.You will join our Finance Projects & Engagement team and will be working within the Financial Stewardship & Public Reporting (FSPR) division.Achieve success as Senior Financial AnalystIn this integral role there are a few things we would like for you to have to best support yourself and add value to the people of NSW. You will be successful in this role if you have:Demonstrated experience in project managementDemonstrated research, analytical, and strategic thinking skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and productively with multidisciplinary teams across TreasuryDemonstrated ability to effectively interpret accounting, financial and performance informationTertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, Business, or other relevant areas and preferably a professional accounting membership such as CA or CPA.What can you expect from usThe team you will join is made up of a diverse and welcoming group of people.
