Full time Access Group Australia have the nation's largest privately-owned fleet of access equipment. Our core business facilitates the hiring, selling, servicing and transporting of elevated work platforms including scissors, boom lifts, telehandlers and forklifts to the Construction, Material Handling and Mining sectors. Due to continued growth, we have created 2 new Senior Financial Accountant roles within our Finance department at our Canning Vale corporate headquarters. Reporting to the General Manager of Finance, the successful candidates will also be required to lead, manage and supervise our existing accounting team. Each role has a different area of responsibility, however, they will be working together to manage teams in different areas. Some key areas of responsibility will be: Role 1 Treasury accounting, managing and assisting setup of bank accounts, credit cards and liaising with external banks. Cash flow forecasting to ensure adequate liquidity around the businesses. Daily cash management and debt facilities reporting. Managing and authorising local and foreign currency payments. Managing the team to complete cash transactions in a timely manner. Role 2 Compliance and management reporting for a large number of businesses. Financial audit experience an advantage to assist with our compliance reporting. Reviewing end of month reconciliations around the group, ensuring correct accounting treatment. Liaising with our external tax accountants to ensure compliance with annual reporting. Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards. Preparing and consolidating the monthly management accounts. Other responsibilities of these roles will include: Variance analysis around actual results compared with budget and forecasts for each profit and cost centre. Providing financial reports and interpreting financial information to managerial staff with recommending further courses of action. Overseeing the general ledger, ensuring that transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. Providing adhoc analysis to drive business decisions and support executive teams. Identifying financial risks and proposing measures to mitigate these risks. Delegating and assigning tasks, ensuring that deadlines are met, and work is completed accurately. Fostering a collaborative team environment and handling any issues that arise within the team. Supporting the Management team in developing strategies for cost management and efficiency improvements. Assisting with adhoc tasks as required. These are office-based roles working Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm. The successful candidate will be an individual who will honour our core values of People, Safety, Respect, Communication and Continuous Improvement - in addition to this they will have: Relevant tertiary and professional qualifications. CA/CPA qualifications essential. A minimum of 10 - 15 years' post-graduate experience. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, with strong delegation, mentoring, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to motivate, guide, and develop team members to achieve high performance. Proficiency with Excel at an Intermediate/Advanced level. Proficiency in accounting software. Thorough understanding of accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, self-management and organisational skills. The ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work with conflicting time constraints. Experience with Net Suite will be advantageous.
