As our Senior Financial Account , you'll be a critical member of our finance team, playing a pivotal role assisting the Statutory Reporting Manager with complex accounting processes associated with audit and preparation of financial statements.
This includes items such as leases, provisions, cash flows, tax-effect accounting, cost allocation and segment, and providing technical accounting advice to the broader finance team.

With a Hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role is based in Southbank and is part of the Group Reporting & Accounting Management team.

This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to: Assist the Financial Reporting & Policy Lead with complex accounting processes including:Lease accounting Cash flow statements Provisions Cost allocation and segment reporting Tax-effect accounting Prepare technical accounting advice for the broader finance team Respond to audit queries Assist in preparation of Board and Audit Committee papers Due diligence procedures and internal controls for Group reporting Preparation of financial statements and associated analytical reviews You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of: Chartered Accountant, CPA or equivalent (Newly qualified, 1 or 2 years post qualified) Training in application of accounting standards or audit Experience in full suite of financial accounting tasks and strong experience in accurate financial reporting Possess exceptional communication skills, allowing you to clearly explain complex financial matters to executive level stakeholders and external auditors You may have had experience in a Big Four consultancy in a similar like role &/or you are looking for your next opportunity in an internal role Ability to lead and project manage the financial statements audit, collaborating with our auditors and finance colleagues to ensure high quality deliverables meet deadlines and audits are followed through to completion A real place to belong.
