They are the largest organisation of its kind in Australia.
It has recently received accreditation as an employer of choice.

They have recently hired new leadership that are focused on payroll compliance & transformation; building a robust & customer focused centre of excellence for payroll & HR systems.
This year they have stabilised & optimised the payroll system & although there is work still to do, this is an exceptional time to join the team as they embark on a new chapter.

The Role

Drive operational payroll for key business divisionLead team of 3 experienced Payroll OfficersPoint of escalation for team members & Business LeadersReview manual payments & calculations such as TerminationsGenerate final payment run reportsBuild relationships with cross-functional Payroll Leaders & other key stakeholdersGL Reconciliation & Upload to ERP SystemRegularly Audit Integration of EA Rules in Payroll & Rostering SystemWork closely with the Payroll Audit Manager, Payroll Process and Systems Manager and the Head of Payroll to ensure payroll processes are compliant and best practice.This is a permanent role, based in the group's payroll function based in Sydney CBD.
They have a clear, divisionalised structure with three payroll teams.
The new structure has created an opportunity for progression and leadership support from a dedicated Supervisor.

The Head of Payroll has exceptional tenure with the business and has expert knowledge of the organisation, relevant payroll legislation & systems architecture.
She is the epitome of "lead by example"; she knows has the bandwidth to promote payroll to the organisation and support the development of the team.

The Senior Management team values payroll and has offered internal promotion and opportunities to existing team members.
This is an organisation that invests in your payroll career.

This is a busy role & fast paced environment.
But the team take time to laugh and take care of each other.

To excel in this role, you will have exposure to a fast paced, weekly timesheet driven payroll.
Knowledge of transport or similar EA's is also important (especially interstate such as South Australia & Victoria).

The team attend the office between Monday to Thursday.
They are centrally located, close to Wynyard station.
