The firm's Corporate Tax team, led by a renowned Tax Partner, has a long-standing reputation for providing comprehensive tax support.
To further enhance their service offering, they are creating a strategic tax team within their business advisory division.
About the Opportunity: Our client is seeking an experienced Manager or Senior Manager to become one of the founding members of this new Tax team.
This is a unique opportunity for a strategic thinker with extensive Corporate Tax experience who is eager to shape and grow this new function.
The role offers clear partnership prospects in the medium term, supported by a structured development path.
Key Responsibilities: Manage your own portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality corporate and international tax consulting services.
Review tax provisions and deferred tax calculations.
Prepare detailed memorandums of advice on complex tax matters, providing innovative solutions for clients.
Engage directly with clients, offering strategic tax advice and maintaining strong relationships.
Collaborate with Partners on the preparation of tax advice and internal projects that drive innovation within the firm.
Mentor and guide junior team members, contributing to their professional growth and development.
Participate in internal projects aimed at enhancing the firm's tax services.
Qualifications and Skills: A minimum of 8 years' experience in a professional accounting practice, specialising in Business Advisory and Tax.
CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
CTA or Masters of Tax is preferred but not required.
Comprehensive knowledge of current Australian tax legislation, principles, and reporting requirements.
Strong technical, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and clients through various channels.
Proven track record in managing multiple tasks, meeting productivity targets, and mentoring junior team members.
Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously while contributing to team culture and success.
