This key position is vital for fostering effective relationships between the society and its elected officials, ensuring the smooth operation of the President's office while contributing to the overall success of ACS.Reporting to the Corporate Secretary and Head of Legal, you will directly support the President, ensuring collaboration and alignment on strategic initiatives. This position requires a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality, as you will be responsible for various administrative aspects of the President's work.Key Responsibilities:Administrative Support:Manage all aspects of the President's calendar, scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.Prepare and organise materials for meetings to ensure the President is well-informed and prepared.Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and industry bodies.Draft and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations, maintaining high standards of clarity and professionalism.Provide administrative support for the Legal, Risk & Governance function, including arranging travel and meetings.Governance & Compliance:Coordinate governance events and appointments, including Congress and BEC elections.Assist in reviewing and managing organisational policies and procedures.Support governance activities by coordinating meetings and documentation for committees and boards.Support the Legal, Risk & Governance function including review of policies and processes.Event Coordination:Organise and manage logistics for meetings, events, and conferences, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and engagement activities.Assist in organising roundtables, sponsorship agreements, and special projects such as Women in Tech and other external cohort initiatives.Project Coordination:Support and coordinate projects related to corporate transformation initiatives and other frameworks while collaborating with various society lines, committees, and boards.Assist in supporting special projects and initiatives, ensuring timelines and deliverables are visible, monitored and communicated to appropriate stakeholders.Strategic Support:Prepare summaries and reports to support executive meetings and presentations.Gather and summarise relevant data related to industry trends, corporate transformation efforts, and governance issues.What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate will excel in a structured, fast-paced, and mission-driven environment focused on results and member engagement.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Political Science, or a related field preferred.5+ years proven experience as an executive assistant or in a similar role, ideally in a corporate or non-profit setting.Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management software is a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, translating data into actionable insights.High discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders and managing intricate projects.Ability to balance operational tasks with strategic planning to support the President.Familiarity with corporate governance and project management principles is advantageous.Why Join Us?
