Our client stands as a prominent provider of construction, civil works, and building services catering to mining and commercial clientele in the Pilbara region. As a result of new projects, we are seeking a Senior Estimator to join the vibrant team at their head office in Perth. This pivotal role will see you mentor a small but growing estimation department while leveraging exposure to a diverse range of projects to expand your knowledge and skillset.

Core Responsibilities: This position will prepare quotes and tenders by interpreting detailed scopes of works, specifications, and drawings for all aspects of the business including, but not limited to, civil works, construction, general maintenance, waste, and potable water management.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Preparation of quotations and tenders by analysing drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates including labour, materials, freight, plant, and equipment.Oversee and manage the junior estimators, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all bids.Communication and requests to Project Managers to provide information on scope of works for tenders and quotes.Review supplier quotations for each part of the tender or quote and ensure the pricing used covers all aspects of the scope of works and is competitive.Work closely with Estimating Manager for preparation of tender documentation and tender submissions in a timely manner.Identifying qualified subcontractors and suppliers and provide the necessary information for them to be able to supply detailed quotations in accordance with the scope of works. What you need to be successful? Demonstrated 5 years' experience in an estimating role.Technical knowledge of construction, building, and civils processes.Proficiency in Expert Estimation Software would be beneficial.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and MS Project/P6 would be beneficial.Ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.Project budgeting and advanced project reporting skills.Thorough knowledge of construction and civil contracts.
