The Role
We're looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team in Newcastle.
This role will be instrumental in driving new business and maintaining our standard of excellence.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering detailed, accurate estimates for civil infrastructure projects, including drainage, pipelaying, roadworks, and earthworks.

Key Responsibilities Attend and participate in Pre-Tender meetings Review scope of works, tender and contract documentation Identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities associated with project estimates.
Manage RFQs for subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery.
Review and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
Preparation of first principles estimates, methodologies, programs and submission documentation for tender review.
Participate in management reviews of tenders Liaising with Project Managers and the Project Delivery Team on project handover, pricing, resourcing and supplier arrangements.
Participate in bid negotiations and pre-contract award meetings as needed.
Skills & Experience Minimum 7 years' experience as an estimator in civil construction.
Relevant qualifications in civil engineering, construction management, or equivalent practical experience Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
A positive attitude and keen work ethic coupled with solid time management and organisational skills.
The ability to set priorities and meet strict deadlines.
The ability to manage & develop relationships with clients, suppliers & subcontractors.
