Working with repeat, blue-chip clients throughout Australia, this business is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join the team and play a key role in the direction and front-end strategy of the business alongside the Directors.

The Role Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, including labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs, for projects from initial calculations to final figures. Use advanced estimating software to enhance accuracy and efficiency in preparing bids. Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids, ensuring they meet project specifications and budget requirements. Lead and develop the estimating team, providing guidance and oversight to junior estimators and support staff. Assess risk factors associated with projects, offering insights and strategies to mitigate potential cost overruns. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and regulatory changes that could affect cost estimates. Prepare and present bid packages and cost analyses to senior management and potential clients. Negotiate contracts and terms with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Conduct post-project analysis to compare estimated costs to actual expenses, identifying areas for process improvement. Foster relationships with key industry partners, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and service quality. What do you need? Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven track record of 5+ years as a Quantity Surveyor. Experience with Fitout & Refurb projects or commercial building sector. Proficiency with Estimating software such as Cubit or CostX. What you'll get in return Competitive salary package up to $220K.
