About the role Reporting to the Chief Estimator of the Region for BMD's Urban Division, you will contribute towards preparing estimates for minor infrastructure projects and urban development projects throughout South East Queensland up to $70 million.
We are looking for someone who is transitioning from a site-based to an office-based role.
Your responsibilities will include leading the estimates by obtaining prices, overseeing quotes from sub-contractors, and preparing an estimate from First Principles.
Collaboration with delivery staff is essential to ensure detailed and properly analyzed tenders are submitted to continuously win projects for BMD Urban.
Duties Assist in the preparation of tenders and develop the team's skills associated with estimating. Analyze all quotations for the supply of materials, plant, sub-contractors, and select the quotations that reflect the best outcome for the tender. Ensure all schedules that are part of the tender submission are completed in line with the requirements of the tender documents. Seek input from construction site staff to incorporate the best possible information into the tender. Skills & Experience 7+ years' experience in Estimating.
Experience in preparing estimates from First Principles.
Experience in Expert Estimation.
Project delivery experience isn't required but will be highly regarded.
Effective, concise, and appropriate communication to all stakeholders.
