Senior Estimator

Are you a professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for construction estimation? My client has an opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join their team and play a pivotal role in preparing detailed cost estimates, tendering specifications, and purchase orders for their large-scale townhouse projects.Key Responsibilities:Sales Estimating: Collaborate with the Building Consultant and General Manager to prepare comprehensive New Home Tenders and specifications. Handle customer-driven changes and variations for approval, ensuring compliance with design guidelines and standards.Production Estimating: Review and analyse documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency, identify any discrepancies, and collaborate with Project Managers to rectify. Prepare Bill of Quantities for each project, issue Purchase Orders to suppliers and trades, and support Construction Managers throughout the build process.Tendering/Bid Activities: Prepare and distribute tender packages, review submitted prices, and assist in the preparation of tender estimates. Ensure submitted tenders are competitive, accurate, and aligned with internal take-offs and specifications.Leadership & Team Contribution: Demonstrate the company's values and contribute to its vision and goals. Collaborate effectively within the Estimating team and across departments, attending meetings and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications & Skills:Solid experience in construction estimation having worked on townhouse/multilevel unit projects is essential.Proficiency in reviewing architectural drawings, engineering plans, and construction documentation.Strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.Understanding of safety regulations and compliance within construction projects.Familiarity with pricing databases and software tools.Commitment to personal development and growth within a dynamic work environment.Please call Miller Langford-Ely on 0466 806 871 for more information or email your CV to ******.
