About the RoleReporting to the Senior Manager, Risk, Compliance, and Business Continuity, the Senior Enterprise Risk Management Specialist leads the development and implementation of a best-practice risk management framework to support Triple Zero Victoria's strategic goals.
With excellent relationship-building and collaboration skills, the role navigates organisational complexities to influence change, provide education, and drive practical risk management practices. The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills for negotiating, influencing, and problem-solving, and excel in communicating complex information clearly for diverse audiences. Strong facilitation abilities foster a safe and engaging environment, uniting stakeholders to achieve high-quality outcomes.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Support the Senior Manager to deliver enterprise risk management services to best practice standards, meeting customer expectations.Manage the improvement and communication of risk management frameworks, policies, processes, and materials to meet stakeholder needs and compliance requirements.Lead the management of enterprise, departmental, and operational risks, ensuring key risks are identified, analysed, reported, and understood by diverse audiences.Integrate risk management into business planning, governance, policy development, internal assurance, and collaboration with sector partners to manage shared and state significant risks.Develop and manage risk assurance activities, including VGRMF attestation and independent risk control reviews.Design and deliver a risk maturity program, provide expert risk advice, manage tailored risk assessments, and coordinate training and workshops to promote a strong risk culture.About YouTo succeed in this role, you will have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
Diploma/Tertiary qualification in Risk Management or related field, with demonstrated knowledge of ISO 31000:2018 and Victorian Government Risk Management Framework (VGRMF).Registration with professional bodies like RMIA, and certification in Risk Management (CPRM, CERM).Extensive experience in enterprise risk management, applying best practices, and knowledge of current trends in risk management.Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences and produce effective reports.Strong relationship-building, negotiation, influencing, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.Skilled in facilitating safe, engaging environments that unite stakeholders for high-quality outcomes and applying critical thinking to solve complex problems.What We Can Offer YouYou will be supporting a critical service to the Victorian community and will be rewarded with a competitive salary, flexible working arrangements, and employee benefits including:
