About the role Lead workplace relations compliance initiatives in line with the evolving employment law and industrial landscape within which Life Without Barriers (LWB) operates. You will be a key leader in a team of highly experienced and talented Employee Relations professionals. This is a permanent full time role, location flexible. Key responsibilities Partner with colleagues across our LWB to implement, monitor and manage systems, processes, policies and tools directed at systematic and efficient implementation of legal and industrial requirements. Represent LWB in the Fair Work Commission and other employment tribunals. Interpret and advise on the application of workplace laws, modern awards and industrial agreements. Proactively monitor for legislative and industrial instrument developments and provide practical advice regarding implementation. Lead initiatives and projects to ensure the continuous improvement of our compliance frameworks Skills & Experience Relevant tertiary qualification in Law, Industrial Relations, Human Resources or similar. Extensive experience in Legal, Employee / Industrial Relations and/or Human Resources roles Advocacy experience in the Fair Work Commission and/or other employment tribunals. Demonstrated experience in the interpretation and application of industrial instruments, workplace legislation and case law to stakeholders The ability to influence and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders internally and externally Experience working in a fluid and changing environment Opportunity to work in a highly experienced ER team and play an important role in shaping a new People and Culture function Opportunity to make an impact in a sector that is motivated by a social purpose Monthly rostered days off Join one of Australia's leading social-purpose organisations Excellent salary packaging benefits through Maxxia Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check.
