Senior Advisor

This position is located in the Front Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Global Information Services(A/GIS), Bureau of Administration, Department of State. The incumbent functions as a consultant andauthoritative advisor to the Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) for Global Information Services (GIS), on majorhigh profile and mission critical activities including strategic policy and planning and consultation.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience briefing senior management and staffs on technical and administrative policies and programs, as well as planned program and policy modifications. Experience providing advice and guidance on undefined issues and elements for administrative programs essential to an organization's mission. Experience developing, planning, coordinating and evaluating information resources functions and activities within the organization, Experience developing and recommending improvements to administrative and programs policies. There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-15 position.
