Location: Perth KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The Electrical Engineer is responsible for engineering and providing support across GBP's full range of equipment. This includes reviewing specifications and developing comprehensive electrical designs encompassing wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, process & instrumentation diagrams, and component specifications for customer orders. Responsibilities also entail coordinating PLC logic and programming with Controls Engineers, designing motor controls and control panels, overseeing field commissioning and troubleshooting, conducting vendor testing, facilitating customer visits, supporting proposals and sales efforts, evaluating equipment, and assisting in cost estimation for new projects. This role demands the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects concurrently, and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with customers and colleagues. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent, with at least 7 years of experience. Design and engineering background in equipment for Mining, Mineral processing, or similar bulk material handling industries. Mandatory experience in Switchboard and Substation Design, VVVF Drive, Cable sizing, Equipment electrical layout, and Cable schedule preparation. Proficiency in performing Power System Calculations and Analysis including fault level, load flow, harmonics, earthing, arc flash, and equipment sizing. Ability to make independent decisions while collaborating effectively within a team. Capacity to work methodically under pressure in a structured manner. Experience in configuring and troubleshooting industrial control systems and instrumentation. Preferred experience in designing process automation for OEM equipment. Advantageous experience in commissioning automated equipment or systems, project and schedule management, instrumentation design, and Functional Safety Systems.
