Title: Senior Electrical Engineer
Our Perth Electrical team is growing!
We're looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with experience in infrastructure projects (renewable energy, transport, port, defense) to drive impactful design and implementation initiatives across Australia, including a pivotal role in an innovative renewable hydrogen project.

Reporting to the Electrical Team Leader, the position offers an exciting mix of design and engineering and design coordination activities.
Key Responsibilities: Engage in engineering projects, including concept, detailed design, construction support, and commissioning related to the electrical discipline. Provide electrical engineering support in the delivery of owner's engineer roles on large/medium scale renewable projects. Develop and review electrical designs for LV and MV power systems (e.g.
Single lines, schematics, layout, GA, cable/equipment schedules). Develop engineering documents including scopes of works, calculations, drawings mark-ups, datasheets, design reports, etc. Interfacing with multidisciplinary internal/external project teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure compliance against relevant standards, project's basis of design document, and functional specifications. Involve in the tender process for preparing bid documents, identifying deliverable lists, and developing relevant engineering hour estimates. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to young engineers by sharing best practices, industry knowledge, and innovative approaches to foster professional development within the team. Skills & Experience Required: Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering. Significant professional electrical engineering experience in consultancy, utility, mining, or resources environments. Ability to perform power system analysis (i.e.
load flow, fault level) and protection studies utilizing ETAP or PTW electrical software to assist with general electrical designs. Previous experience with power distribution (i.e.
MV & LV) and equipment specification (i.e.
power transformers, MV/LV switchgear, cabling, lighting, Earthing, Lightning). Design knowledge of applicable codes and standards (both Australian and international). Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, able to effectively communicate and work with team members, clients, internal and external stakeholders. Defense security clearance is not mandatory but highly regarded.
Applicants must currently reside in Australia and hold Australian permanent residency or citizenship.
