The Workforce Strategy and Culture team is responsible for leading the Directorate's diversity and inclusion, organisational development, workforce data and reporting, and workplace coaching functions.
In leading the team, the Senior Director, Workforce Strategy and Culture will be responsible for the development and implementation of a workforce development strategy, designed to develop the future people capability to support the JACS Directorate.
The Senior Director will also be required to continuously develop, review, and implement effective training, learning, and development strategies, as well as lead the maturity of HR data and analytics reporting to enable ongoing compliance and organisational continuous improvement.
The Directorate has a number of commitments in the JACS Strategic Plan, the Reconciliation Action Plan, and the Gender Action Plan that the Senior Director will be required to oversee, coordinate, implement, and regularly report on. In addition, the Senior Director will be relied on to develop executive briefings, ministerial briefings, and will have responsibility for the monthly Directorate People Report.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Qualifications in or extensive experience in human resources, strategic workforce planning, organisational development, culture, and inclusion are highly desirable.
Notes: An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. Please note, this position is in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers do not have a designated workstation/desk.
