The program includes building three new hospitals, expanding 11, upgrading rural and regional health facilities, and delivering thousands of new hospital beds in the next five years. This is intended to be the first tranche of a 15-year program of infrastructure investments. About the role
Reporting to the Executive Director, Operations, this key role assumes overall responsibility and accountability for the HIQ governance, risk, and compliance functions for all aspects of major capital programs. You will lead several key functions, which consist of leading a multidisciplinary team to oversee governance, risk, and compliance in line with Government requirements, and setting the guidelines for sound governance and accountability for all aspects of project, program, and portfolio outcomes.
The successful person
The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership experience in governance, risk, and compliance functions, and a commitment to developing a high-performing team. You will be a leader in change management with a background in the establishment and delivery of PMO functionality. Additionally, you will have demonstrated skills in leading best practice Government administration for projects/initiatives, broad knowledge of driving process improvements and enhancing accountability, and strategic agility. The Senior Director Governance, Risk, and Compliance will have a good track record of linking outcomes to vision and purpose, supported by good organisational agility and decision-making skills.
