The role will manage a large variety of property transactions and deal structures to enhance value and utilisation of government owned property, coordinates value-add activities, delivers transaction strategies and manages relationships with key stakeholders.If you are a proactive, self-driven professional ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role, we want to hear from you.Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, you will be responsible for:Ensuring a consistent and strategic approach to commercial transaction strategy, structuring and negotiation across Development Victoria, including determining appropriate governance, processes and risk allocations for commercial transactions and proposals.Provision of support to DV delivery teams responsible for commercial outcomes on projects, including ensuring a consistent approach to EOIs / RFPs, JV's, PPPs and other transaction models, HAFFF and other grant submissions.Lead and foster collaboration with senior executives across the Victorian Public to ensure the Transactions team is sought out for trusted advice and to assist in fostering the commercial reputation of Development Victoria.Lead preparation and implementation of negotiation strategies, including providing specialist support and working across DV Legal, Finance and other disciplines to coordinate advice and documentation required to close out transactions in a timely manner.Ensure transaction strategies are communicated and well understood, fully supported, and adopted to ensure integrated and effective decision making and timely completion of transactions to meet program and project objectives.Procure and manage expert advice as required from a variety of specialist disciplines, particularly financial, legal, accounting and tax, and interpret and synthesise inputs into appropriate commercial outcomes.Desired Skills and ExperienceAbout YouWe are seeking a candidate with a high level of commercial acumen, planning and prioritising, influential and strong in negotiating, passionate about driving performance and the development of others.The ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable, and self-driven, with the ability to build relationships, show initiative, and maintain resilience in a complex environment.
