About the Role As a Senior DevOps Engineer in our Data Capability tribe, you'll be responsible for reviewing development practices with a strong DevOps mindset and a deep understanding of DevOps principles.
Design, implement and continuously improve Kubernetes powered elastic data analytics environments, large scale data pipelines, distributed systems and real-time streaming application to deliver insights to bank's day to day operation and enable rapid decision making with data completeness and accuracy.
You will challenge inefficient engineering practises in ANZ and influence change in your field to drive better business outcomes.
To this end, in the role you will implement smart and relevant data engineering to drive E2E data product delivery and support the uplift of DevOps capability in the Data Capability tribe, while linking in to the wider Enterprise data analytics roadmap.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you are expected to: Design and build big data application infrastructure using on-premise cloud Design and develop cloud native applications for process automation and system integration Apply DevOps and MLOps principles and best practices, continuously improve big data platform and big data infrastructures to enable robust, fault-tolerant big data product development and production environments Coaching and uplift other team members' technical knowledge and skill Working in a cross skilled environment with people both from big data domain and various technical disciplines to build fit for purpose big data infrastructure What will you bring?
We are looking for Senior DevOps Engineers with a strong understanding of DevOps principles, solid coding skills and demonstrable, full hands on experience of the following technologies: Experience of managing Kubenetes cluster with one or more Kubernetes distributions.
e.g., RedHat OpenShift 4, AWS EKS, GCP GKE etc.
Expertise in Git and GitOps practices and experiences with popular GitOps tool stacks.
E.g., GitHub, ArgoCD Deep understanding and experience with cloud native CI/CD pipeline implementation and tools.
E.g., Codefresh/Argo Workflow etc.
Expertise in K8S configuration management tools.
E.g., Helm and Kustomize Good understanding and experience with modern monitoring/observeability tool stack.
E.g.
Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, OpenTelemetry etc.
Solid experiences in dockerizing and integrating opensource projects at production-level, E.g., Airflow, JupyterHub, Spark and MLflow etc.
Good understanding and production experience with developing Kubernetes applications in enterprise data projects.
Strong understanding and solid experience in software engineering best practices and good coding skills in Python or Golang Good understanding and production experience to IAM tools, e.g.
Keycloak Security savvy with complex enterprise security environment.
Deep understanding and solid experience with software build process and relevant tools.
E.g.
Maven, Make etc.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and write technical documents.
You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
