About the role
Join our collaborative team as a Demand Planner at Takeda Oceania!
You will be responsible for managing and maintaining a portion of the Australian & New Zealand product portfolio, collaborating with key stakeholders within the business. Within this role, you will analyse the forecast to ensure product availability in a timely and cost-effective manner. This role reports into the Supply Chain Manager.
What you will do:
Manage demand planning and adhere to the forecast accuracy targets and other related KPIs by working closely with cross functional teams, Intercompany overseas suppliers, external suppliers and distribution centres. This responsibility includes facilitating monthly demand review meetings, co-ordination of on-time shipments, and the monitoring of supply planning with various manufacturing plants
Collaborate with Commercial teams to understand market demands and changing market trends, monthly sales forecast, analyst forecast errors and assist Commercial teams to improve their forecast accuracy, whilst adhering to the forecast accuracy targets.
Identify business impact of forecast errors and communicate / escalate early with any related supply issues that may impact the local market.
Communicate with manufacturing sites in a timely manner to understand the impact of forecast change, expediting / pushing out replenishment as required.
Partner with Takeda Regional teams for forecast reviews, share financial risks due to lack of supply, and any topics which need Regional escalation.
Manage new product launches in line with Commercial plan and adherence to local compliance requirements. Lead launch supply discussions with cross functional stakeholders to manage launch progress and share updates with Regional Launch lead.
Co-ordinate & monitor all shipments into the country, with focus on activities up to customs clearance.
Maintain KPIs to all manufacturing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and work with Supply Planners to ensure demand forecasts translate to correct supply needs.
Monitor inventory to prevent excess & obsolete stock, adhering to the days of inventory KPI target.
What we're seeking in you:
Familiarity with forecasting concepts, methodologies, and an understanding of the interrelationship between Demand Planning and its dependent functions such as Sales, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain and Manufacturing.
Strong negotiation skills and is ready to tackle any challenge that comes your way
Experience in leading cross functional teams and influence consensus-based decision-making.
Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement & agility.
Strong communication skills and ability to present data in an easy-to-understand format.
Advanced Excel skills using Power BI.
