We are investing in new and existing capabilities and have a number of exciting opportunities available.The Senior Data Scientist plays a pivotal role in advancing Country Road Group's data-driven strategy by leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical modelling. This role focuses on developing, scaling, and productionising predictive models to support key business objectives, including customer engagement, loyalty programmes, and digital marketing optimisation.In addition to managing and optimising codebases, the Senior Data Scientist works closely with the broader analytics team, IT, Loyalty, and the Product Owner – Engagement to ensure that data science models, including incrementality models, churn prediction, RFM models, mixed media models, and demand forecasting for digital marketing, are fully integrated and adopted across the organisation.This role involves high-level technical expertise, ensuring that data science models are scalable and deliver actionable business insights.Key AccountabilitiesLead the design, development, and productionisation of advanced data science models, including incrementality models, churn prediction, RFM models, and forecasting models for digital marketing demand.Develop and scale mixed media models to assess marketing impact and optimize media allocation. Collaborate with IT for efficient deployment and with the Product Owners for integration across engagement platforms and channels.Manage and optimise codebases for scalable model development. Maintain a code library to promote reuse and ensure adherence to best practices, version control, and collaboration standards.Leverage advanced data science techniques like predictive modelling, machine learning, and statistical analysis to drive customer engagement and marketing performance. Collaborate with the analytics team to transform raw data into actionable insights and develop churn and RFM models to support retention and improve customer lifetime value (CLV).Work closely with the Loyalty, CRM, and Customer Engagement teams to deliver insights and models that support customer segmentation, retention, and personalisation efforts.Monitor and optimise model performance by fine-tuning algorithms, refreshing data, and incorporating new sources. Develop a feedback loop to enhance models based on results and business outcomes.Lead the scaling of models and analytics across business units, driving measurable impact. Explore new technologies and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal governance, while collaborating with IT to maintain clean, accurate datasets for model development.Key CapabilitiesExtensive experience in data science or advanced analytics roles, with a strong focus on machine learning, predictive modelling, and statistical analysis.Experience in developing and productionising models, including incrementality models, mixed media models, churn models, RFM models, and forecasting models for digital marketing.Strong understanding of code management, including version control systems like Git, and experience managing and optimising code libraries.Experience working with cross-functional teams, including IT, Loyalty, and Marketing, to deliver and scale data science solutions.Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and tools, such as AWS, Google Cloud, and BigQuery.Advanced proficiency in Python, R, and SQL, with hands-on experience in building and deploying models in AWS or Google Cloud environments.Experience with data visualisation tools like Tableau or Power BI for communicating insights to non-technical stakeholders.Why work for CRG?The Country Road Group is one of Australasia's largest Lifestyle Brand Houses comprising of iconic brands such as Country Road, POLITIX, Trenery, Witchery and MIMCO.
