A prominent financial services organisation is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Credit Analyst to oversee the credit analysis and portfolio management for their SME customers. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting business growth while managing risk effectively. Your work will encompass the full credit lifecycle, from initial transaction assessments to renewals and ongoing customer servicing.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Business LeadershipDriving process improvement across SME and Risk teams, implementing best practices in credit analysis.Balance risk management with customer satisfaction to ensure positive client experiences.Transaction Execution and ServicingConduct thorough credit assessments for new transactions, renewals, and variations.Ensure compliance with credit policies, procedures, and timelines.Proactively manage a portfolio of SME customers, applying market insights to support their financing needs.Identify and address facilities with deteriorating risk profiles, collaborating with Directors on risk mitigation strategies.Work closely with SME Relationship, Credit, and Legal teams to streamline the documentation and execution of transactions.Portfolio and Relationship ManagementMaintain customer relationships through proactive engagement and consistent servicing throughout the customer lifecycle.Work with Lending Operations to oversee administrative aspects like drawdowns, repayments, and exposure management.To succeed in this role, you will offer the following:
Technical SkillsHighly skilled in conducting complex credit assessments, ensuring accuracy throughout the customer lifecycle.A strong background in corporate and/or business lending.Knowledge of KYC/AML processes and risk assessments.Recognising high-risk files and escalate when necessary.Deep understanding of small business financing solutions.Strong numerical skills with a focus on data integrity and quality assurance.Behavioural SkillsStrong teamwork and relationship-building abilities.Ability to skilfully balance customer needs with risk requirements, adapting approaches as needed.Confidence in delivering high-quality service to multiple clients, building strong relationships.This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of SME credit management while delivering exceptional customer service. You will be part of a collaborative team, as you help us support small businesses through tailored financing solutions. As mentioned, this is an initial 6 month fixed term contract, with the potential to go permanent.
