General Summary:Warner Bros. Discovery Creative APAC is the multi-award-winning in-house agency creating brand identities, on-air promotions, advertising, branded content and communications for consumer, trade and corporate use across a range of media.
Reporting to the Creative Director ANZ, the Lead's core responsibility is to translate marketing briefs into powerfully effective ideas and creative concepts (primarily on-air promos, digital & cross-media campaigns), on time, budget, brand and brief. Where appropriate, they will write and/or execute creative work themselves. They will have a close working relationship with the design team, wider APAC creative teams, marketing and channel management.
Key Responsibilities:Receive and effectively interpret marketing briefs for Streaming.Generate and present ideas that are effective across all media.Build close working relationships with Marketing to better understand their needs and provide high quality and proactive creative solutions.Provide sign-off of creative work and present / sell-in to marketing, channel management and their clients as needed.Write, direct and produce creative and other materials as required.Be a mentor for creative team members, providing coaching, creative direction and supervision, continually assessing and motivating others.Ensure delivery of innovative creative AND media, using the best and most effective production techniques.Act as a brand champion and guardian, ensuring consistency (of brand and tone of voice) across all Streaming Creative assets.Support the CD as required on ad hoc projects – branding, sizzles & APAC wide creative solutions where needed.Collaboration with other creative leads in the region and understanding of the APAC portfolio of brands.Qualities:Minimum 5 years in a senior role, leading a creative team.Driven individual with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Strong leadership capability and creative support for the CD.Solutions based thinking and ability to create internal efficiencies/ prioritisation where required.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work within a team environment and independently when required.Highly creative, able to work across multiple projects at the same time.Strong presentation skills and building creative decks.Demonstrable track record of creative excellence.People management experience is critical, including the ability to assess, motivate, coach creative and production staff across linear and digital.Strong understanding of Discovery Portfolio / Streaming brands & target audiences.Strong collaboration with internal marketing teams and ability to manage creative KPI's.How We Get Things Done… This last bit is probably the most important!
