JRM Hospitality is working with Iron Gate Estate, a premium winery set to open its newly built kitchen and restaurant in October 2024, seeking an exceptional Executive Chef to take the helm.Nestled in the heart of the Hunter Wine Region, Iron Gate Estate is more than just a winery - it's a destination where food, wine, and ambiance converge.
The new venue will feature a blend of authentic Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine, inspired by the best local and imported produce, including fresh ingredients from its kitchen gardens.

We are looking for an innovative and talented Executive Chef to lead the culinary team and set new standards for excellence in the region.The Role:Develop and execute a creative, seasonal menu that showcases the finest in Spanish/Mediterranean cuisine and perfectly complements our wine offerings.Lead, train, and inspire a team of culinary professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance kitchen culture.Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation for the restaurant and cellar door offerings.Maintain the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.Manage food and labor costs to meet budgetary goals while upholding exceptional standards.Collaborate with the marketing team to create unique food and wine pairing experiences and special events.Source and maintain relationships with local suppliers and artisans, while also incorporating imported Spanish ingredients to ensure the use of fresh, high-quality products.Uphold strict compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in the kitchen.About You:Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role, preferably within a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment.Strong expertise in modern culinary techniques with a deep passion for Spanish cuisine and the use of fresh, local ingredients.Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple outlets, including a restaurant and cellar door, while maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment.Creativity and a keen eye for detail in food presentation.Experience in developing and implementing strategies to achieve sales and labor cost budgets.Solid management and financial skills.This is a rare opportunity to build a name for yourself in a stunning location, leading a culinary program that will be the talk of the Hunter Wine Region.
