We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Contracts Specialist to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of contract creation, review, and amendments. You will be responsible for providing end-to-end support and advice in the form of drafting & negotiating, as well as administration duties in relation to all procurement contractual activities for Civeo, in a variety of categories.
Ideally, you will have completed your legal degree and be ready to undertake the next phase of your career in the commercial Contracts space. You will be seeking a role with great commercial impact that also offers great work/life balance and a supportive internal team.
Position overview:
Review and draft procurement contracts based on both internal and supplier templates
Negotiate contract terms with suppliers and partners
Maintain and manage the contract database, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and accessible
Provide guidance on contract-related issues to internal stakeholders
Monitor contract performance and compliance
Collaborate with legal, procurement, and finance teams to ensure alignment and efficiency in Civeo's contract management processes
Assist in the development and implementation of contracts and procedures
Provide mentoring, guidance, and leadership to peers and/or other team members where needed
Skills and experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, law, or commerce
Minimum 2-3 years' experience working within the Contracts or legal industry is preferred
Demonstrated ability to prepare contracts and drive contract management processes
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate into business outcomes
Able to prioritize and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Able to draft detailed contractual execution memorandums, highlighting negotiation outcomes, contractual concerns, and issues
Able to understand both commercial and general legal risks, terminology, and principles preferably within the procurement sector and provide advice
