Our client is a well-established Tier 3 contractor specializing in new builds and fit-out projects within the Education , Commercial , and Healthcare sectors. With a strong track record of delivering high-quality projects valued up to $30M , they are known for their collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team culture.
The Role
As a Senior Contracts Administrator , you will play a critical role in the senior management team, reporting directly to the Construction Manager and Director. You will be responsible for the commercial oversight of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities Procurement Management : Lead procurement processes, managing subcontractor and supplier engagements to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services. Financial Oversight : Take ownership of project budgets, cash flow, financial tracking, and payment processes to ensure financial control across projects. Contract Administration : Negotiate, finalize, and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Cost Control : Monitor project costs and ensure projects are delivered within budget while identifying and addressing potential cost overruns. Documentation & Reporting : Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of contracts, variations, payments, and project correspondence. Team Culture : Contribute to fostering a positive, inclusive team environment where collaboration and professional development are prioritized. Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Senior Contracts Administrator within the construction industry, preferably with a Tier 2 or Tier 3 contractor. Extensive experience in managing projects up to $30M or more. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work autonomously while also being a strong team player. Experience within the Australian market is essential. Desirable Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management , Quantity Surveying , or related fields. Experience within the Education and Commercial Health sectors would be highly advantageous. #J-18808-Ljbffr
