About the role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Senior Contracts Administrator will be based initially on-site in the Mid-West region on a major civils construction project working a 10:4 DIDO roster from Perth. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Drafting scopes of work and preparing tender packages as per the project requirements Managing the tendering process review, including negotiation of prices and recommendation of award for subcontract and vendor arrangements Maintaining appropriate registers and document controls for project contracts and identifying cost trends as required Monitoring projects costs within the established budget and reporting any variations Providing accurate and timely reports and preparing forecasts as required Working with the Project Manager to identify and quantify any clarifications and variations to the Head Contract Assessing any commercial and contractual risks involved in delivery and implementation of project work scopes and identifying and implementing project controls Processing and responding to progress claims Coordinating with finance/administration staff to ensure proper billing Providing any financial and contractual documentation required for awarded contracts and undertaking general business administration Qualifications and Experience Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience Minimum 10 years previous experience working on civil construction/bulk earthworks projects Experience providing support services to project staff to ensure effective contract administration A strong understanding and ability to interpret legislative and regulatory requirements Sound knowledge with Cheops or Construction Industry Software Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and SharePoint The ability to take ownership of commercial activities and influence outcomes Excellent communication skills, and an ability to form and build relationships and communicate effectively with clients and subcontractors Strong organisational and analytical skills and high level of attention to detail Positive negotiation, conflict and influencing skills Be part of a team that embraces diverse talent, working together in a safe environment delivering strategic outcomes and creating lasting positive impacts.
