With a healthy and growing pipeline of work, we are looking for a talented and driven Senior Contracts Administrator.
Our new hire will have strong experience with procurement, package reviews, drafting documentation, variations, reports and managing RFIs.
What you'll do: Assist with the procurement of materials across various projects, including delivery to siteDraft subcontract documentationReview, develop and administer trade packages scope of work before calling for tendersAssess quotes, negotiate, and provide tender price comparisons and recommendationsRespond to on-site requests from site teamsObtain and assess trade variations, and assist with the preparation of head contract variation submissionProvide regular letting and vetting updates to the Project ManagerManage client and subcontractor RFIs from siteHead Contract & Subcontract administrationManage and track project expenditure and prepare a monthly reportProgramme and system management including reviews for compliance, accuracy, efficiency, and improvementsDetermine supply costs from new and existing suppliersData entry and general administrationAssist in upskilling Project Managers on commercial aspects of a projectMentor Contract Administrators, Graduates, Cadets, and new starters and provide feedbackAbout you: A genuine passion for the Construction industryTertiary qualified in Construction Management or a related discipline7+ years of Contract Administration experience, ideally in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 environmentExperience in a Contract Administration role on multiple $50M+ projectsExperience mentoring and coaching junior team membersJOBPAC experience preferred, as well as proficiency across MS SuiteAgile thinking and ability to identify opportunitiesConfidence and demonstrated capability in negotiationStrong communication skills and ability to convey complex issues with clarity and easeA meticulous eye for detail and outstanding record keeping skillsAbility to work well both in autonomously and team environments with a commitment to organisational successHow you'll benefit: 5-day work week (exception of Site Managers/Supervisors who work 10 days in 14, with every other Saturday off)Investment in training with the aim to have the best trained workforce in the industryFree health assessments for all staffPaid parental leave for both primary and secondary care giversFast-tracked career development opportunities and support our staff through mentoring, workshops and retreatsIndustry-leading internal communication channels to break down silos across sites, allowing staff to share ideas, lessons learnt and other resources.Kapitol values diversity and aims to build an inclusive environment that champions, embraces and respects differences.
