Our client, a leading company in the battery energy storage systems industry for utility-scale applications, is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager to join their team in Australia.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global leader in renewable energy solutions, contributing to the widespread adoption of clean energy.
Position: Senior Commissioning Manager
Location: Sydney or Melbourne, Australia
Package: $180,000 + bonuses
The Role:
As the Senior Commissioning Manager, you will lead a team of commissioning managers and engineers, overseeing the execution of all commissioning activities for utility-scale Battery Storage projects.
You will be the key technical liaison with clients and EPC partners during the critical commissioning phase of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive commissioning plans Manage a team of 2-3 Commissioning Managers Create and implement quality inspection and commissioning procedures Collaborate with stakeholders to define and execute testing protocols Drive continuous improvement in technical problem-solving Maintain relationships with various subcontractors Travel up to 50% of the time, with on-site stays of 2-3 weeks during commissioning activities Qualifications: Master's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline Minimum 10 years of direct technical experience in relevant industries At least 5 years of team management experience Minimum 5 years of commissioning experience Deep knowledge of power system installation, construction, and design Proficiency in scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet Exceptional technical writing and communication skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Ideal Candidate:
