About the RoleAs a Senior Commercial Analyst, you'll be part of a small, flexible and highly capable Customer Strategy and Transformation Experience team within Customer Engagement, while also working directly with the Finance team. You will work directly with the Finance team and Finance Business Partner. You'll play a key role in helping to support the Business Leaders and ANZ achieve their Strategic and Transformation ambition by bringing analytical skills, commercial insight and modelling to drive key strategic priorities & objectives across Customer Engagement. It's a very pivotal and exciting time within the Retail Division and you will engage and co-ordinate with key stakeholders across Retail including Strategic Delivery, Finance and Channel Business Leaders to understand key inputs required to drive the Customer Engagement aspects of the Retail Transformation.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to help develop financial models and business cases for transformation projects including changes to Sales and Service, future workforce & operating models and productivity. By playing an enabling role, your value lies in your deep contextual understanding of the business and your ability to leverage data to build robust commercial modelling. You will bring together financial and non-financial data to support key strategic decisions. The role will require an understanding of Retail Channels including branch, self-service, and Contact Centre (Voice and Messaging etc).
Your role as a Senior Commercial Analyst at ANZ will be instrumental in driving the company's growth, development, and achievement of strategic objectives. By providing valuable insights, supporting the execution of the key strategic transformation initiatives, and contributing to the development of key frameworks and blueprints you will contribute to the company's success in an ever-changing competitive environment.
What will your day look like?As a Senior Commercial Analyst, you will be responsible for:
Providing valuable insights and recommendations to guide strategic decision-making for the relevant strategies ensuring alignment with long-term strategic goals.Presenting insights and recommendations in a concise and articulate manner to a range of stakeholders including but not limited to Channel GM's, Retail MD's, Marketing & Digital Partners, ANZx, and Strategic Direction team.Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive financial models to help drive strategic business decisions.Assisting in the development of the bank's strategic plans by providing insights derived from market analysis and transformation initiatives.Challenging the status quo and ensuring your stakeholders prioritise and optimise financial outcomes for the Customer Engagement objectives.Growing and maintaining high-value internal networks across ANZ, and maintaining effective working relationships with peers and key stakeholders (Business leaders, initiative leads, Finance, Strategic Delivery, Investment office etc).Supporting key strategic initiatives including:Contact CentreSales & Service strategyWorkforce planningCost comparison analysisWhat will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Proven track record in data analysis, commercial analysis, or strategy-related role, with a focus on transformation.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.Experience in developing and maintaining financial models to evaluate the financial impact of various business strategies and initiatives.Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel or other data analysis tools to interpret data and provide actionable insights.Successfully built a network of relationships with internal stakeholders and influenced senior executives across the business.Excellent research and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.Excellent communication and presentation skills with proficiency in PowerPoint, and the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Proficient in the hypothesis led approach to problem solving and strategy development.Considerable experience in driving business performance through the provision of strategic and commercial advice.Ability to work with ambiguity and complete complex and structured financial analysis.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
