Senior Cloud Engineer

Role Purpose: As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will lead the charge in enhancing our clients infrastructure deployment and management. Your expertise in automation, orchestration, and scripting development will assit in moving towards an industrialized, self-service mindset. You'll be a key contributor to strategic technology projects, working closely with peer architects and stakeholders to drive self-service offerings across private and public cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities: Lead & Innovate: Implement and maintain infrastructure services with a focus on automation and self-service. Develop and document detailed standards, processes, and procedures. Research & Develop: Evaluate, develop, and deploy tools for automation, orchestration, configuration management, and optimization of cloud and virtualized environments. Consult & Advise: Provide technical advice on infrastructure planning, engineering, and architecture. Assess strategies' implications on infrastructure capabilities. Collaborate & Automate: Work with architect peers to define self-service strategies and automate regular operations. Support & Improve: Ensure proper rollout and usage of infrastructure and cloud services, and provide out-of-hours support when necessary.
What We're Looking For: Extensive experience with cloud and virtualized architectures (Azure, GCP, AWS, VMWare). Demonstrable experience in deploying infrastructure as code (ARM, Terraform). Expertise with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and configuration management (Ansible, DSC). Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Shell). Experience with CICD platforms (Azure DevOps) and identity solutions. Strong change management skills with Agile and ITIL process experience.
