Company: Marsh Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Sydney CBD office. Senior Claims Advisor (Financial Lines) What can you expect? An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Claims Advisor to join Marsh's Financial Lines team in Sydney. In this role you will provide high level expertise and manage claims under D&O, Professional Indemnity and other financial lines classes of business to determine coverage. You will serve as an advisor to a portfolio of SME to Corporate top ASX large clients to build trust, deliver service and maintain effective working relationships. In addition to managing your portfolio, you will participate in internal and external client meetings as appropriate to foster relationships and drive settlement of claims. What is in it for you? Leading training and development programExposure to sophisticated financial lines claimsProfessional environment where your career path really matters and is supported in our global organizationWork in a highly regarded team with energetic and supportive colleaguesGenuine work life balance We will count on you to: Handle specialist financial lines claimsProvide high quality technical advice and support to our clients, from preparing the first notification for submission to the insurer through to final settlement, ensuring the client's best interests are always protectedProvide technical advice to clients and brokers on policy coverage and interpretation, and provide advocacy for the client in relation to insurer indemnity denialsDrive the settlement negotiation process and negotiate on behalf of the clientAct as a trusted advisor to a portfolio of clients, demonstrating value and driving resultsManage external providers and interface with panel solicitors, loss adjusters and investigators as requiredRespond to queries from brokers and clientsConduct meetings and liaise with clients, insurers, claimants, and external providersManage moderate to complex claims in accordance with the Company's processes and Client Service Agreements as requiredPrepare routine claims reports including claims trends analysis and summaries for the client and brokerMaintain fully documented system based electronic files in accordance with Company standards and maintain a system prompted diary follow up procedure on each claimIdentify opportunities for claims referral to and claims issues to our Advocates and work in collaboration with our Advocacy team We would like you to have: At least 3 years Insurance claims experience, preferably in financial linesA Law Degree and experience in the legal environment and/or ANZIIF qualifications will be advantageous, but not a prerequisiteExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to maintain and strengthen relationships with clients and insurers and their respective agents and representativesGood negotiation and persuasion skillsDemonstrated commercial acumenGood attention to detail and claims analysisResults-driven attitude and collaborative approach to your work About Marsh: Marsh is the world's leading insurance broker and risk adviser.
