The Role:
Join our dynamic team of QGAir pilots based in Cairns, where we pride ourselves on delivering safe, timely and responsive frontline aviation services. As we expand our fleet with the introduction of brand-new Beechcraft King Air B360 turboprop aircraft, we're looking for a Senior Base Pilot who is eager to contribute to providing world-class frontline aviation services in community safety.
We are seeking an experienced pilot with strong leadership skills to manage and guide a team of line pilots at Cairns, Mt Isa and Horn Island bases, operating our modern fleet of King Air B360s and Caravan aircraft. As a leader of our flight operations team, you will be responsible for contributing to the safe and efficient operation of our fleet to ensure essential, lifesaving and emergency aviation support is provided to our partner agencies. What We're Looking For:
Mandatory requirements:
Licences & Ratings
Australian Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL)
Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating - 4 renewals
Flight Hours Requirements
Minimum 3000 hours total time
Minimum 2000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC)
Minimum 400 hours Night PIC
Minimum 400 hours Multi-Engine PIC
Minimum 400 hours Turbine PIC
Certifications & Documentation
Hold or be eligible to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
Hold a current Australian passport
Current Class 1 Aviation Medical
Highly desirable requirements:
Licences & Ratings
Australian Air Transport Pilots Licence (ATPL)
Flight Examiner Rating (FER)
Flight Instructor Rating - Multi Engine
Type Ratings
B360 Type Rating
C208 (or similar) Experience
