Senior Associate - Trade Finance Operations (12 Month Max Term)Do Work That Matters. You will join CommBank's Trade Finance Operations team sitting within our Global Trade Operations function within our Chief Operating Office (COO). The Trade Operations team operate in a middle-office environment and are focussed on the delivery and settlement of Trade Finance transactions, across Import/Export and Trade Loans.
The team also provide operational management, monitoring of financial transactions and ensuring clear correspondence to our valued customers spanning in size and complexity across Business Banking to our Institutional Bank & Markets (IB&M) clients.
This is a 12 Month Max Term Contract (or secondment for our internal team members) opportunity, which is a great way to either enhance your Trade knowledge or utilise your Loan Operations skills in Trade.
The Role. As a Senior Associate within the Trade Finance Operations team, you will help manage the end-to-end delivery of Trade Finance transactions across the Group while partnering with Trade Sales Specialists, Relationship Managers and product specialists to ensure growth and delivery of service to our clients on their trade finance needs.
You will be focussed on Trade Finance Loans and funding which includes reviewing customer loan applications and documents and ensuring they align to allow funding to occur.
You will monitor, analyse and review physical trade documentation and transactions against regulatory Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Terrorism Financing (CTF) policies while ensuring each transaction meets the Bank's and regulators' risk appetite before releasing it.
On any given day you will: Transaction processing/operations of Trade Finance LoansFacility implementation for traditional and structured trade finance productsAssist with client account management in maintaining and growing our client baseSupport Relationship Managers and Trade Sales SpecialistsComply with Bank policies, controls and frameworks, reporting any issues affecting the team to management and complying with all escalation protocols to minimise riskDaily interaction with CBA's trade processing business partnersWe're interested in hearing from people who have: You will have previous experience in roles requiring high attention to detail or investigative outcomes and will be able to demonstrate critical and lateral thinking in order to communicate complex situations clearly to find solutions for our customers.
You will also:
