This Opportunity: This Senior Associate, Financial Management role will provide support to the APAC region through updating financial systems, developing budgets and forecasts, project setup, reporting, pricing and narrative support for tender submissions for projects and other parts of the business.
This position is a fixed-term contract for up to 12 months. Location: The position is based in Palladium's Brisbane office.

Reporting Lines: The role is to directly report to the Senior Manager, Financial Management, APAC.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities: Assist with the development and implementation of Revenue Schedules for projects to improve reliability and control over revenue recognition, forecasting and allowing for the reconciliation of unbilled non-reimbursable revenues. Assist projects with the identification of unbilled reimbursable revenues including training the projects to use available tools. Assist with month-end processing including recognition of revenue, updating of forecasts and reconciliation, and correction of unbilled revenue streams. Assist and review monthly reconciliations of billing and revenue clearing accounts. Play an essential role in month-end close as it relates to project-based accounting. Collaborate with project managers and advise on various financial topics. Provide guidance to projects in project setup, work breakdown structures coding, project workforce utilization and reporting. Review and monitor project setup in financial systems for project funding, billing and revenue information. Run reports and provide financial packages for internal reviews. Set controls for compliance with Cost Accounting Standards, Unbilled Analysis and Cash Receipts. Assist Financial Management Team with other assignments and maximize use of Financial systems. Essential Criteria: Strong organizational and time management skills for managing a variety of tasks simultaneously. Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel, including advanced knowledge in developing excel templates and reconciliation tools. Proven ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial staff (training, coaching, tool development) and to build collaborative working relationships with staff across multiple disciplines. Ability to operate autonomously with minimal direction. High level of attention to detail and accuracy, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Understanding of complex chart of account structures, project accounting, subsidiary ledgers and general ledger control accounts preferred. ERP system experience with Deltek Costpoint, IBM Cognos, Timesheet Collection or similar systems highly regarded. Desirable Criteria: Prior experience in professional services, project management or government contract environments.
