Senior Associate – Construction Litigation

Although this is not a Big 6 firm the DR team is recognised as one of the largest and best in Australia, and they handle some of the largest and most complex commercial litigations, regulatory prosecutions, class actions and insolvency disputes. The Partners this position report to work primarily with clients in the infrastructure, construction and energy & resources sectors, which is where the focus of this role will be.The Associates in this team naturally all jump in on the large quantum matters that hit the news, but they are also trusted to run their own smaller matters. The Partners are very much present and active in the team, but they believe in giving their staff autonomy with an open door to come to when they want it.As a high-end Senior Associate, you will be valued for your input and responsible for formulating the direction and strategy of matters, pre-empting the next steps, providing guidance to juniors, being a primary point of contact for clients, and ultimately trusted to work independently.Some recent matters handled by this team include acting for:an international construction engineering group in proceedings arising from the D&C of a transport tunnel ($700m+)an international building product manufacturer in $1bn liability and negligence class actiona US defence contractor in relation to a supply contract for the ADF ($300m+)multiple developers in defending appeals against several Wind Farms, resulting in the approval of those projects by the Courts_______________________________________As a Legal Recruitment specialist with over 15 years of experience, I can guarantee your application is in good hands.
