The successful candidate will work on a variety of legal matters such as consumer credit and financial regulatory frameworks, privacy law, marketing, AI and data law, disputes, general corporate and commercial matters, and AML/CTF issues.You will work closely with all business units to overcome legal and regulatory challenges that arise in the development of new and existing products.The team offer flexible working arrangements and a great workplace culture that is high-performing, yet also fun and supportive.Responsibilities will include:Providing legal and compliance advice to all business units, including responding to ad-hoc requests, drafting policy and procedure documents, preparing responses to borrower, investor and shareholder complaints and disputes, and reviewing promotional and marketing materialsProviding project and product teams with advice and pragmatic solutions taking into account regulatory requirements.Reviewing various types of commercial agreementsProviding compliance training and education programs for employees to promote awareness and understanding of compliance issuesMonitoring changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards with a particular focus on consumer credit and financial regulatory frameworks, privacy law, disputes (including EDR), and AML/CTF mattersLeading internal investigations related to compliance matters, including allegations of misconduct or violationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams and various business units across the business to ensure a cohesive approach to legal matterRequirementsTo be successful, you will have between 5- 9 PAE, with experience in financial services.In addition, you will have:5-9 years PQEKnowledge of the consumer credit regulatory frameworkFast learner with strong communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skillsAn ability to work autonomously as well as engage with others in a team environmentCapacity to work on multiple tasks simultaneouslyA commercial approach to problem-solving with stakeholder management skillsContactFor further information, please contact Morgan on +61 415 914 803 or ****** take your application one step further, register your details via the 'Register Now' button on our websiteto be added directly onto our database.
