We work closely with Australian and international businesses, organisations and governments.About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Banking and Finance Senior Associate (6+ years PQE) who will work closely with partner Arlene Colquhoun, ensuring that you are involved in engaging and interesting work. You will work across a broad spectrum of financing transactions including property finance (both acquisition, development and financing of mature property assets), general corporate finance, acquisition and leveraged finance and project finance, working on both lender and borrower side.You will be involved in drafting facility and security documents, assisting with the negotiating of financing transactions and running banking and finance matters from a project management perspective. In addition, you will be responsible for advising in relation to all relevant legal issues arising in banking and finance transactions, including financial assistance and PPSA issues.About youIdeally you will have:Experience working in a banking and finance team within private practice.Strong drafting skills with attention to detail.A client-focused approach, attuned to understanding and delivering on clients' commercial business objectives.The ability to support the partner with team development and utilise outstanding interpersonal skills in mentoring our aspirational junior lawyers.Maddocks is simply a great place to do great work.
