Come shape our future with us and make a real and lasting impact across our teams.Your OpportunityAs a part of our renewed focus over the next 10 years, we have a new role for a Senior Analyst Cost and Performance in our Portfolio Performance team.The Senior Analyst Cost and Performance provides specialist knowledge in the area of advanced analytics to support investment planning at all time horizons within the business strategic, tactical, and operational landscape.As a key member of a professional team, this role will transform how Urban Utilities analyses the performance and effectiveness of the Investment portfolio through developing, maintaining, and enhancing reporting, dashboards, and analytics for cost intelligence and project and portfolio performance.This role is also central to our digital transformation. Through the targeted development and implementation of decision support tools, the role will ensure that the group approach is continually improved to develop optimised investment plans to achieve required business outcomes.Some of your accountabilities will include:Working closely with business stakeholders to evaluate the needs and requirements for analytics, assess the problems to be solved and what internal or external data sources to use or acquire. Determine the data and analytics approach to support the strategic exploration and decision needs.Lead the development and integration of sophisticated Power BI dashboards, reports, and analysis to help solve critical business challenges/opportunities.Understand the investment planning and decision-making requirements of senior decision makers in optimising the entire Urban Utilities infrastructure portfolio.Working as a key part of a close-knit team to maintain and improve a suite of Power BI dashboards, from sourcing available data through to report development.About YouWe are seeking candidates who are passionate about shaping our future, and ideally have the following qualifications, skills, and experiences:Tertiary qualifications in a related data science, engineering, business intelligence, economics, or equivalent work.Extensive experience in Power BI (or similar) development and/or business intelligence and reporting, investment modelling, data science, or economics.Experience performing complex analysis and utilising advanced data modelling and testing techniques to enable data analysis.Prior experience in a PMO or Capital Investment Office for an asset owner is highly desirable but not necessary.Most importantly, we are looking for someone who oozes enthusiasm and passion for advanced analytics, and is also curious about the water industry and how to find outcomes that enrich the lives of our customers and communities.At UU, we celebrate diversity.
