Anaesthesia Senior Registrar & Provisional Fellow Positions We have positions available for: Six and 12-month positions are available, commencing August 2025. Joondalup Health Campuses (JHC) anaesthetic team cares for more than 20,000 public patients in theatres, endoscopy suites, the catheterisation laboratory and birth suites.
The service operates 24/7 to support emergency surgery patients and women in labour and delivery.

The Anaesthetic Department is accredited for training by the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA).
We have a mixture of ANZCA trainees, GP anaesthetic registrars, and emergency and ICU registrars.
We have undergone rapid expansion, and we have an enthusiastic and dynamic department.
Applicants should have the ANZCA part 2 exam at a minimum or equivalent at the commencement of employment.
They must be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a medical practitioner.
Provisional fellow positions are accredited by the Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and provide an ideal opportunity to transition from registrar to consultant.
Positions may be offered for six or 12 months; however, you can only do six months of any specialty.
Preference may be given to applicants seeking a 12-month position. All fellows will be expected to participate in the after-hours roster, teaching of junior trainees and medical students.
There will be opportunities to pursue QA activities such as audits and research.
Remuneration: JHC Senior Registrar's base salary range before allowances is $111,678 - $171,854 (dependent on years of service). Key responsibilities of the position: Administer anaesthesia for various theatre lists, including General (including bariatric) Surgery, O&G, Orthopaedic, ENT, Thoracic, Vascular, Urology, Plastics, Ophthalmic and Paediatric surgery. Regular sessions are dedicated to subspecialty fellowship training. Participate in the after-hours roster, teaching junior trainees and medical students. Participate in departmental Quality Assurance activities. Registered as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulatory Authority (Medical Board). Relevant clinical experience to meet the above responsibilities.
A minimum of 3 years experience in anaesthesia, including experience in obstetric and paediatric anaesthesia.
