About the Role Ensure the safe and efficient conduct of Aerodrome Operations in accordance with BHP Aviation Management Procedures. This role is FIFO from Perth on an 8:6 rotation with a requirement to change to a 4:3 rotation as and when is operationally required. 
Some of your key duties include:
• Leading by example and promote a culture aligned with BHP core values with an ongoing pursuit of Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement
• Proficient understanding of MOS139 and CASA Regulations
• Ability and thorough understanding of requirements to develop Core Aerodrome Manual Suite - AEP / SMS / DAMP / WHMP / Aerodrome Manual
• Chair SMS & AEC Meetings
• Airport Emergency Response – Planning of Aerodrome Emergency Exercises and Aerodrome Emergency Response Training with a focus on aviation emergency response
• Mentor and actively share knowledge to fellow colleagues allowing them to prosper, learn and progress
• Overseeing aerodrome conditions and associated maintenance of accurate and compliant records
• Conduct daily and non-routine aerodrome serviceability inspections and ARO duties as per CASA regulations
• Supervising aerodrome remedial works (Works Safety Officer Duties)
• Transmission of Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) to Air services
• Management and planning of flight line operations including aircraft marshalling, refuelling, fuel quality control, baggage handling, passenger control and aerodrome traffic scheduling
• Delivery of airport Terminal Operations - passenger check-in, radio calls and completion of flight manifests, load sheets, operational liaison with aircraft crew and staff from both mine site and aircraft operations
• Conduct Airport Inductions for contractors, new staff and visitors.
About You Along with your ability to lead and develop teams; prioritisation and resourcing skills and being an excellent communicator, the successful candidate will have; 

• Proven experience leading teams in a similar role 
• Aerodrome Reporting Officer / Works Safety Officer (ARO/WSO) Qualification 
• Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC)
• Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate
• Demonstrated experience in the development of process and procedures 
• Airline Ground Handling Experience (Virgin, Alliance, Qantas, etc – Demonstrated experience with B737 / A320 / F100 / E190 aircraft types)
• Airline Trainer Credentials (desirable but not essential)
• Air Freight Processing experience
• Passenger Processing – Demonstrated experience with Sabre, Amadeus, Avantik, FMMA
• VAA / VARA IFIDS dispatching software
• Demonstrated experience with Air BP Quality Control and Aircraft refuelling capabilities (desirable but not essential)
• LR/MR Manual Drivers License (preferrable)
