As a Senior Advisor, you will be responsible for providing expert practical advice and support to delegates and HR Practitioners in Hospital and Health Services and the Department of Health on complex employment matters. This will include assisting in the delivery of significant and consistent outcomes and outputs that contribute to the achievement of Queensland Health's organisational goals.
You will be required to prepare high level correspondence as well as collate and compile reports for human resource activities which include but are not limited to: suspensions, terminations, ill-health retirements, employee complaints and conduct and performance matters.
Key to this role is your ability to establish working relationships with clients through the provision of high quality and timely support in relation to conduct and performance matters.
The successful personYou will have demonstrated:
Ability to advise on complex public sector employment matters including, but not limited to, performance management, discipline, suspension and medical assessment of employees.Highly developed verbal and written communication skills necessary to provide expert HR advice to stakeholders and produce quality submissions and presentations.Ability to complete work within agreed timeframes, manage competing priorities and ensure attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a high performing team to achieve and deliver quality outcomes for clients.About usThe Department of Health is responsible for the overall management of the public health system in Queensland.
