Advanced Test Engineer, you will work closely with the development teams, testing in parallel, to uncover performance and capacity issues in preliminary designs.
Focus areas: Effectively perform software testing tasks with minimal supervision to uncover defects in software builds, within an agile/scrum environment.
Tasks include a range of testing activities across the full software development lifecycle. Record clear reproduction steps for all defects found, logged in defect tracking system, and work closely with development teams to have defect resolved. These tasks involve the authoring and execution of manual testing as well as the development of automation scripts (to replace the manual test cases). Actively analyse testing results to uncover trends and patterns in software quality. Ability to assist in investigation and reproduction of customer issues, to reduce the support load on development teams. What will you bring to the role: Responsiveness to testing requests. Productivity and thoroughness of manual test case authoring and execution. Find defects in the software, particularly in edge case scenarios and negative workflows. Productivity and quality of automation test scripts. Timeliness of executing testing activities across multiple projects. Compliance to process standards. Key Experience & Capabilities: 5+ years testing experience, with experience in system performance/capacity testing. Experience with C# Experience with the Ranorex Automation Suite Experience with building automation code using various tools (NodeJS, Python, batch files) Experience with Jira (defect and task tracking software) Behaviour driven development languages (e.g.
Gherkin) Automation test case development and execution Traceability of test cases to requirements Testing within an agile/scrum environment Experience driving automation for large and complex end user products throughout software development lifecycle Who We Are The Future Is What We Make It at Honeywell.
