Rockhampton Hospital is a 305-bed facility and is the main referral hospital for Central Queensland, now providing integrated cancer care services in Central Queensland in the newly established building boasting state of the art medical equipment. About the role:
Provide leadership, management and direction to the front-line administration staff in the Emergency Department (ED), ensuring the delivery of services in a professional and proficient manner whilst ensuring operational effectiveness. This role will work to ensure best practice administrative practices are implemented and maintained to support continuous improvement and respond effectively in an environment of ongoing change. Drive a strong performance culture to achieve key performance indicators.
About you:
While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in business, health administration or public service administration would be well regarded. Ability to lead and manage an administrative team within a busy clinical multidisciplinary environment, including demonstrated ability to provide professional supervision, leadership, development and guidance to administrative support staff. Understanding of critical/emergency department environments and the unique challenges associated with working in a high-pressure clinical area. Proven ability and experience in managing and prioritising the commitments and associated activities for staff including the ability to initiate, determine and follow up work priorities within mandated and tight deadlines.
What we offer: Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $114,177 p.a. is comprised of: An hourly rate between $45.81 - $50.46 p.h. 12.75% employer superannuation contribution 17.5% leave loading
