Senior Accounts Payable Officer

MARS Recruitment are partnering with a mining company based in a central location, looking to hire a Senior Accounts Payable Officer on a permanent, full-time basis.Central locationPermanent, full-time roleA fantastic mining organisationMUST have strong Senior AP experienceThe Responsibilities:Responsible for the end-to-end accounts payable functionCoordinate the weekly payment runsReconciling supplier statements and following up any discrepanciesProcessing and entering invoices and credit notes into the financial systemSupports financial closing for assigned operating entitiesMaintains the accounts payable system, including records of payments, vendor, and supplier detailsWorking with the management accounting team to identify potential accruals at each month-endAnswers accounts payable enquiries from both internal and external partiesMonitor and action AP inboxProvides support with the establishment and continuous improvement of financial controls, policies, and processes as directed by the Financial ControllerThe Requirements:Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a Senior Accounts PayableExperience with Excel and SAP is highly desirableHigh level of attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to adapt in a dynamic environmentMust have Australian permanent residency or citizenshipTo Apply:If you are interested in applying for this role then please follow the link, or if you have already met with someone at Mars, please send an up-to-date copy of your CV.
