This person will primarily be responsible for all corporate accounting and deliverables for the entities we manage on behalf of our clients.Reporting to the Senior Manager | Finance & Accounting, you'll be joining a national team of enthusiastic and driven individuals who strive for continuous improvement. This position will suit a proactive, composed, and self-starting Senior Accountant who wants to build on their previous analytical experience within a collaborative and supportive organisation. You will hold a professional accounting qualification (CPA/ CA) and preferably have experience in the property industry.What will you be responsible for?Prepare and take responsibility for the accuracy of month and quarter end closing tasksReview monthly bank reconciliationsReview PAYG calculations prior to Tax submissionReview monthly BAS and relevant supporting documentation and answering queries from Tax (if any)Review balance sheet reconciliations for all corporate entitiesMaintain intercompany loan registers for corporate entities and resolving intercompany mismatches (if any)Review monthly balance sheets for certain entities requested for solvency declarations purposesPrepare and assist with quarterly G&A reforecast for 3 cost centres including preparing cost centre reports, meeting cost centre managers and uploading forecast to HFMAnalysis of G&A actuals vs forecast and forecast vs budget for 3 cost centresPrepare quarter on quarter commentary for corporate pack submitted to group reporting teamAssist with other monthly and quarterly accounting requirements as business needs ariseEnsure compliance with SOX and other controls in day-to-day operations and debt managementEnsure timely and accurate interest accrual and related payment for debt managementAssist with reporting of debt for statutory and management reporting requirements (including significant transactions, board memos, commentary etc)Follow step plans, complete accounting and administration (cosec forms and calculation) for transactions in BP managed structuresComplete capitalization and distributions (and associated administration) within BP structure to meet trust rules and/or funding requirementsAssist with internal and external audit queriesPrepare and review supporting documentation for cash custody audit performed offshorePreparation of ABS surveysProcess improvementContinuously develop and implement initiatives to improve the integrity and accounting of corporate entitiesSystem / IT improvement and testing as requiredAssist with the process of setting up new entities and rationalising entities that are no longer in usePreparation of memos (as and when required)What experience and qualifications will you possess?Professional Qualification (CPA / CA)Undergraduate degree in Finance or AccountingExperience working in the property industry preferredGood analytical skillsAdvanced computer skills, particularly with Microsoft ExcelExposure to financial reporting and analysing financial statementsWhat skills and qualities do you have?High attention to detailAbility to work under pressureExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSelf-management and integrity.
